We’re growing and looking for an Agency Development Manager to help our top-producing agencies maximize their potential. A key part of this role will be to extensively travel to agency offices and industry events around the country.

The Role

Reporting directly to the EVP of Sales, the Agency Development Manager, is responsible for building relationships with new agency partners in target geographies around the country. Your focus will be on helping them bind their first accounts with Rainbow, ensuring they fully understand and leverage our appetite, pricing, and value proposition. You’ll act as a true partner—coaching, strategizing, and removing roadblocks so they can write profitable business with us as quickly as possible.

What You’ll Do
  • Travel to build relationships in person: Plan and execute agency office visits, represent Rainbow at trade shows and conferences, and look for ways to maximize our in-person touch point with agents.
  • Work leads and generate your own opportunities: Prospect and engage agents to experience the magic of our software, insurance products, and underwriting and service teams. Advocate for your agency partners and make sure their first impressions of Rainbow are as strong as possible.
  • Build & Execute Growth Strategies: Work closely with our top agency prospects to develop engagement and track progress.
  • Drive Submissions & Production: Ensure agencies are consistently submitting risks that align with our appetite as quickly as possible., and help move deals across the finish line.
  • Deliver Training & Insights: Educate agencies on our unique underwriting approach, competitive advantages, and sales strategies that help them win more deals.
  • Champion the Rainbow Brand: Ensure our agency partners fully understand and communicate Rainbow’s value proposition in the marketplace.
What We’re Looking For
  • Travel +65% of time.
  • 3+ years of experience in commercial insurance account management, carrier distribution, or commercial insurance production.
  • Proven ability to develop strong relationships with independent agents and work a sales funnel.
  • A data-driven approach to sales—comfortable tracking metrics and using insights to refine strategies.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial insurance.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment where adaptability is key.
